Hi all, Thinking of trying to get some sales going for completes to some youngsters over here on my small island.
I would like to import about 10 -20 setups to start with and go from there but i would like to know what most of the kids are into, most i see around are element decks, how about you guys? |

It's all regional in the US (from what i've seen). Kids around here like Deluxe (Real, Antihero, Krooked) and Zero boards. A few of the local skaters are sponsored by a couple of those companies so the kids in turn support them.
I myself skate deluxe wood and consider it the best (as far as large market manu's). I've skated decks from just about every company at some time or another and always go back to Deluxe.
I visited a friend in California a while back and all the kids in his area skated Girl and Enjoi.
This is probably more just my observation than helpful info.
Sorry but maybe it'll help in some way. |

Thanks for all the help so far guys.
I am now getting a shop (cross fingers) just checking a few places out at the moment.
What i need is some suppliers that offer gret rates as i will be shipping boards but i dont want that to kill the price of the deck and knock me out of the market.
I also need to knock out the middle distributors (i know this is a hard one) and try and go direct to the Manufacturer.
The make of decks i will mainly do is
REAL, FLIP, PLAN B & ELEMENT to start with.
Any help in this matter would be way cool and if anyone knows how to get in touch with anyone who can do all this and clothes etc Please help.
Thanks |

going direct means you will have minimum orders and will have to deal with 5 different companies.
If you find the right distributor, you can get everything you need with one order. You might pay a little more, but you will save time. Plus a distributor can offer lots of other miscellaneous stuff too .... like shirts, parts, jeans, stickers, and other stuff. From what I saw, distributors don't really cost that much more. The only down side is that working direct with a company will get you more support if you want to have a demo or something.
Start talking to shoe reps tho ... you're gonna end up dumping lots of $$ into that. |
