a message to everybody following these posts:
i got a bunch-and i mean a bunch-of e-mails regarding this forum,regarding os vs ns decks.
it looks to me that a lot of guys are into ns decks.
i need to know that for sure, since the frames used will be different.to be more explicit: an os frame is way easier to learn on than a ns frame.
let me hear what you think and i'll go on from there.
thanks for your patience guys |

I have been trying to print ns boards?
Could you tell me by who and how you get your screens streched. Can I use a screenprint supplier with there flat Pnumatic set up. or should I build a jig for streching them manually?

I have interest in both but if NS is the most difficult then show that as I'm guessing I might be able to figure out how to do an OS based off of that.... |

the decks i have been making are old skool shapes but with double kick and deep concave. i would imagine screening these would be best learned on the NS format...?rock it... |

Interested in both, but I agree with NS can learn the basics to apply to OS. |

so it's gonna be ns then...
this is the hardest-but i'll get you going on that one.you can actually use flat frames for os no problem with that.i get my frames stretched by my local supplier.
there's a little secret in the stretching method actually.i will ask my guy tomorrow to check out how it's done in order to explain it accurately to you.
don't ever try to shape the squeegee.this doesn't work at all...
why?
because the nose and tail section of the board are flat!!!!
the shaping of the squeegee is done wiith your fingers.also your squeegee shouldn't be wider than 2 inches over the boards edges.
bleeding is a common problem which can be totally forgotten once you have the right feeling to it.
i think i'll do an extra section on how to hold and move the sq over the board, since that is the most crucial point of it..
any more guys who want to have the frame shape?
e-mails please...
i'll get things rolling over the weekend on that subject
i wanted to do that earlier, but i'm filled up with work at the moment-so sorry-i beg your patience with me-promise again-this weekend
ok guys
thanks from don and keep asking!!! |

Hay, do you know how tight your screens are? Does your screen supplier tell you how many newtons they are? What mesh count do you use?Your squeegee you use is it a soft durometer(60-65) or do you use more of a stiffer one(70-80)?What kind of inks, laquer or enamel?
Keep up the great work . |
