I ordered one. I'll have it in a week. Nice looking beach cruisers and I do live by the beach albeit a no-wave brown sand beer can beach facing Lung Guyland...but WTF spring is coming. |

No inlaid wood just wood stain and magic marker accents under a sheet of fiberglass with some sand in it. But for $65 per deck thats okay I suppose. The edges are frayed glass here and there so I'm going to get some polyester resin and give it another coat. The wood is 11 ply birch. Its good to ride but it looks homemade up close. Real good job on the wheelwells. Overall a fine board for the money but if you have a little more coin you may want to go for a Barfoot.

For $110, you can get a Barfoot complete from eBay, and part it out. I'm sure you can get $60 for the hardware.
Chuck's boards are NICE. Top quality. I drove by his house earlier, hoping to pick up a Yater, but he was out and about. |

Hey billybonebrake...sorry to hear that you arent too stoked with your board, but always glad to receive feedback both positive and negative....
In reply to your post, I do not inlay my boards for a reason...I found that if you have a really flexy birch board and you combine two or three types of hard wood, over time the joints start to crack. I really like the look of inlay but they just dont hold up like a solid board, in my opinion...that is why I choose to stain. And no, there are no magic markers on my boards...they are all hand crafted using high quality products. In trying to make them look like balsa surfboards from the 50's and 60's I use fiberglass cloth and resin, adding silica in place of grip tape. If there were a few fibers hanging out I apologize...as I said, they are all 100% hand crafted and I must've overlooked it.
Again, sorry you're not too stoked, but I hope it at least rides nice for you...
Thanks for the feedback,
Joe
