I have a nice long and smooth driveway. I've always wanted to put a curb along one side of it for slappys and dorking around. Now that my son is getting more comfortable on his skateboard it would be pretty cool to have a little spot where he can learn some tricks. I've also been toying around with the idea of starting a weekly scheduled "Old Man Curb Club" session and beer drinking hang out. I've watched a few videos on youtube with people making forms and molds but the end results weren't really impressive. They'd be great for a diy skatespot but not something I'd want in my driveway. I came across this video/ad the other day and I really like how the curb turns out. I like that you can also do curves if you wanted to. I think if I used the steeper side it would make a fun skate curb. Any thoughts, suggestions or ideas? If you've made your own curb post up a pic.

I gotta figure out if that mold is going to be high enough for rail slides. No sense in making a curb that you can't slide on as well. |
