I finished printing the first batch of these new MODE Skateboards double-kick freestyle decks last night. They feature the artwork of Bobby Brown (@bobbydrawsskullz on Instagram) who pulled out all the stops of retro radness with Walkmans, busted cassette tapes and one-handed handstands.

Pennswood also did a great job, as usual, pressing and cutting the decks.

The decks are a symmetrical 7.4 by 29.65 double-kick shape with a 13.75 wheelbase.

The printing involved 10 screens (7 on the bottom and three on the top) and they were a blast to print.

They are available at modeskateboards.com or send me a PM.

Thanks.

Very true. This or even the coin-on-the-turntable-arm trick, all have fallen by the wayside.

Yeah, this was Bobby Brown's idea. I suggested a cassette tape with some broken tape and he made it even better.

Haha so true, and they definitely don't know why the pencil is there; like it is some random accessory, and not fulfilling a practical purpose.

I just downloaded a manual for a vintage Yamaha tape deck that I just bought and this was in it. Made me think of this graphic.

That is great. I'm going to send this to Bobby. Thanks.
