I know what your saying Skulls can be pretty scary and give people the wrong impression about our sport ( we wouldn't want to do that). I think in the late 80's when the whole GONZ, vison, h-street art scene happend it let the world know just how open minded skateboarders can be. Sort of like the wonderfull art of John Lennon ( that Beatles guy). Skulls are bad and only mean people ( like pirates) use them as fashion statements. I think it's time for the skateboard world to make another open mined statement ( like the " I wanna ride female body parts!" statement). In short, Skulls=BAD, Vaginas=GOOD!
j/k okay the pain killers are starting to kick in now! |

skulls and zombies are WAY overdone. but all these old ass guys dig em and that's where that whole supply and demand thing comes in.

skateboarding without skulls?
absurd.
lets all just listen to pop-punk too while we're at it.
anyone else find it ironic and very humorous that this subject gets brought up on a forum about skateboarding called SKULL AND BONES? |

Deadguy is chasing his tail on this one... slow down big daddy. Follow the thread. I'm just sick of that fact that design, art, whatever you want to call it is still a very congested platform where trends flare and die. The flavor of -last- month happened to be skulls (even though they never really stopped being used) punk rock as fashion...... and that's OK (I guess)./// absurd? quiet possibly, .. absurd like a fox baby. |

i think maybe YOU misunderstood MY intentions.
i DO understand what you are saying.
im still allowed to say that i think skulls rule and always have and that i believe they BELONG in the world of skateboarding as much as they belong in horror movies and biker gangs. its just par for the course.
i dont see it as a fad. thats really my point. i see it simply as a symbol of skateboard culture and one ive always embraced and always will. |
