9 years later. Variflex, Gullwing and several others preceded witht the cantalevered design. Gullwing in the '70s.

Funny he put his trucks on a vert board.

Still seems like Randals have been around forever though.

No doubt Randal had QC problems...I'm praying Breamo and crew fix that up right quick...but it has had the turn EVERYONE in that market has been jock riding on.

Sure they tweak it here or there..but at the end of the day they're just improving/modifying a standard.

Now that Tracker and soon Bennett have a cantalevered truck, will Indy try one too?

Or would those be uncool?

My bet would be NO. They don't have to or need to. And actually I'd be pissed if they did....but that's me.

The foundry that Randal trucks have been poured at for years has begged Randal to modify his trucks for Q&C reasons. Inherent design flaws eaasily fixed I'm told.

They've already come out with a new R2 Randal to fix the issues. Didn't I post the pics and info a few days ago already?

Yeah, the R-II.2 is out and about. I think the photo linker from the 'fish is fixed if you want to slap a photo, but the basic deal is a straight set of holes in the baseplate, cast-in place axles and some aesthetic cleanup. There are also a set of 125mm hangered R-II.2's about to release.

The Trackers are just really coming out right about now. Heck, I'll test the linker thing to see if it's unfocked:

Looks like it is. That's not the best photo for me to have chosen -- the FasTracks are silver and tumble polished.

Do the Tracker bushings "pack up" like some other over-sized bushings?

All oversized bushings have a progressive spring rate, if that's what you mean. The Trackers certainly do.
