does that mean that for boards, the colors sit on top of one another?
and your registration marks, do you just wipe those off with acetone or something when it's done?
looks like it's turning out pretty rad anyways.
yes, the way I have been doing them the color sit on top of each other and you print in a specific order based on the colors and separations (check out the crappy tag deck to see what I am talking about http://www.skullandbonesskateboards.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=122543&highlight=) with a shirt you obviously dont want them building up since it would end up super thick, but on wood it doesnt much matter.
I am sure some folks do it differently but for me, I like having a full white layer, then print lighter to dark and end with a black layer that ties it all together.
this design it didnt really matter how it was printed since there are now underlying colors. if the registration is off, you will see wood.
I leave one deck with the registration cross hairs for my collection and then tape the bottom of the screen when I do the rest. I like the idea of keeping the first one and kind of makes it cool for me... if I was going to get rid of all them I would put tape on the board and remove it when it is done. the tag decks were done without registration marks and I f'ed up the last color... lesson learned! |
