Has anyone on here tried to do cmyk printing on decks before? it looks like everyone does spot printing on their decks and i was just wondering if cmyk was even an option on wood. |

cmyk works best on paper...
true cmyk inks are transparent so that when they overlap they blend
transparent on wood grain wouldn't work...
of you did a white base still wouldn't really work as the white base would still have a color tint and would shift the cmyk...
that's why cmyk sucks on shirts.
now I'm not saying it won't work at all, you might get awesome results but would it be super spot on, probably not. |

My old Dogtown "Street" model had CMYK printed on a white base. Looked a tiny bit off register but was working.
It's long gone but if anyone has one try and get a close up pic! |

Printing concept has increased and moved ahead. I think this is the concept with the help of which one can go for printing services for any product. |

You could use an Oce' Arizona for printing on them. It can print on objects up to 3" thick. It has white ink too, so it can lay the white down first. I work for a company that sells them. very $$$$$. |
