I have had a shop for three years, and I am seriously considering making my own boards, and maybe some for other local shops. I am looking for any advice, Prices for all presses, molds, and all other equipment. Also open to any suggestions or warnings. I don't know much about making boards, but I am pretty good at general woodworking, and I love skateboarding.
All advice is appreciated. |

Thats a cool vid, thank you!
I just have to add...NEVER use a deck like a template!
There are far better ways to do that.
It looks like they have the good glue and the press is a regulated hydrolic type, thats a soild set up.
I still use waxpaper. I would assume that their setup is much improved these days.
I also would add that there are some less pricey ways to get even better results.
If you are interested I suggest you watch that vid once.
Thanks hero-Milt |

Cool vid, but I'm with Mr. Milt on this one. Whatever happened to using a bit gangbox and a table with measured guides to drill holes?
Plastic shape templates are easier to store and just as easy to use for shapes as well.
I'm sending that shape template first thing tomorrow skinny!
Cool vid though. |

These work pretty good for drilling holes.
