Got the New tiger graphic BDS long. Is 38" considered a long? What a sweet deck. That W concave is sooo nice. Seems to add strength as well as footing. Highly recommend picking one up if you have the means. |

I have the the BDS 38" (the Gashead graphic) and I love how it rides. Great for almost all terrain.
I might be mistaken, but I think anything over 36" is considered a "longboard". If you search the ncdsa.com site, you might some threads supporting that statement.

According to a vintage Thrasher copy I was perusing awhile back, anything over 34" is a longie.

Hey P.S.,
I'd say that 38" on up is a longboard. My Hustler
definitely isn't a longboard, and it's 36" long.
The BDS Longboard is a longboard, but with
the right set-up does not ride like one. Slap on
some Seimic 155mm trucks(45 degree front
30 degree rear) some BDS 100duro DubCons,
and some Rockin Rons or Oust Moc9 bearings
and RIP!!! It's an awesome vert set-up.
The same goes for the Afroman Numbchuck,
technically a longboard by length, but not by
how it skates.

i think the 32" is the wheelbase... or for slalom decks, which usually have no tail or nose |

Between the W concave, the Seismics, and the Jessup instead of Edger, it's going to take me a little more getting used to, but I took mine for a nice cruise last night, and to the park today, and I really liked it in both environments.
I'm not positive I've got my Seismics dialed in quite yet though.
Do Seismics tend to last as long as other trucks? I pulled a 6 or 8 foot grind on a curb-type thingy last night, and I'd swear that you could fit a regular M&M (maybe a Skittle or even a Tic-Tac, but you get the idea) in the resulting missing area.

they should be fine. my friend has had the original (they are the same material as the gullwing composite baseplates) seismics for about a year now and his are lasting a long time. the w in bds decks throws me off, but many like it. once you get used to your seismics, i bet you will lovem |

I'm starting to get it dialed in. I think I have the trucks set to my liking (1.25 turns up front, 1.75 in back--I think), and I'm getting to the point that the W doesn't confuse me.
AlvaCollector and I went to the Champaign park for a few hours this afternoon, and by the end of the session, a run on my Hustler felt strange. I've got a very sexy pad tan, and can tell that by the time I'm totally accustomed to the Seismics, I'm going to be a fan for life.
AC decided to ride my Hustler all day, since his may as well have titanium bushings in it, he's got it cranked so much. I think I may have finally brought him around to the good side, but he's given me that impression before. Time will tell.
