Shift your balance more toward the rear. I used to have same problem when standing still and trying them, always ended up in front. A lot easier if you are riding. Like it was said earlier, the trick is all in the back foot. When you catch it you should be catching it with front foot. |

I find most people don't jump high enough, you need to stay in the air a bit longer for this trick. Same thing with hard flips. |

Ollieing into it or really snapping the tail seem to be the key.
I also like visuals. I'll watch the shit out of a video trying to figure out the movements. I don't know if you remember the Sonic Youth vid 100%, but Jason Lee and Guy Mariano do some of the most stylish 360 flips ever in that video. |

i ALWAYS found em easier launching outta something, like in the sonic youth vid off a gutter or out of a bowl...hit and miss on flat.
the shove it part was the key,the flip just kinda happens.
foot placement for me was key particularly front foot half of your board.
of course im sure its different for everyone.
ahhh to be a teenager again |

move your feet to your kick-flip stance and continue doing the 360 shove-it's to get familiar with your footing and timing.
now add the ollie emphasizing on the shove-it part instead of the kick flip and you should be landing at least small 360 flips in no time.
hope that helps...
This seems like a good explanation and has me wanting to go try it using your progression. I can do 360 shoves, can probably add the ollie shove in pretty quick and then just work on the flip part. I have no problem committing to a landing it's just getting it to be anywhere near landable. I seriously used to be able to do these 10 years ago, so why does my body have such a hard time remembering how to do it?
I always did them off stairs or banks but I'm hesitant to move to that until I have some form of consistency. |

although i learnt 180 flips before 360 flips for me theyre two completely different animals!!
i cant really elaborate...dont think about bending the spoon.
instead try and realise the spoon doesnt really exist
i only got em coz i went skating with some masters.
practice practice then give em a break for a week or two,go back to them.seriously, the break, for me, was really important. |

Heres a little secret ,there is no secret to tricks...each man figures it out his own way, watching others helps, but words dont.
For example:
start with just doing 360 shove-it's to get the timing of the rotation and to focus on landing on the board properly.
move your feet to your kick-flip stance and continue doing the 360 shove-it's to get familiar with your footing and timing.
now add the ollie emphasizing on the shove-it part instead of the kick flip and you should be landing at least small 360 flips in no time.
hope that helps...[quote]
That approach didnt help me at all ..i spent ages thinking about it as two seperate tricks put together, its all one movement, when i landed my first one was furious i spent so much time thinking about it wrong. |

Good luck on the 360 Kick flips. That was my favourite trick to pull when I was an active skater.
